Who We Are
“creating socially and financially independent women, for generations to come”
Calcutta Foundation was founded in 1994, a first of it’s kind, to support an orchestra of orphan children learn music and form the Calcutta Foundation Orchestra. Over the years it began to spread its wings rapidly, across West Bengal and even India, to continue to strengthen communities through education, healthcare, income opportunities and extensive relief.
Ever since, the foundation has built an exceptional legacy at the forefront of welfare initiatives in Bengal and beyond.
Apni Kutir
Bringing the world to our women, and connecting our women to the world
Apni Kutir offers education, mentorship and workshops through community centers on topics like mental health and entrepreneurship, aiming for long-lasting positive change in women and communities. The initiative creates a space for women to explore opportunities, foster individual financial identities and empower generations to come.
